I have the same pair of Meermin shoes and it seems that you too, like I have crooked eyelets. I wonder if all these models had this issue. I sent my pictures to them and they said that I can send my pair to them and they will replace it. And it wasn't a problem for them that I bought them almost a year ago.

That suit colour is very good for you, blekit. The tone and your skin is a match made in heaven.

What do we know about the hawaii-shirt on the guy behind you in the bar? Looks awesome.

Hawaiian shirts seem to be universally reviled, with extreme prejudice - a disapprobation awarded otherwise only rarely, I'm thinking Ed Hardy.

Personally, I really like them. Great fabrics, gorgeous colours, very practical. I have quite a few. I might post a couple of them here one day, just to troll the site.

Sport coat - G.abo Napoli

Shirt - Finamore Napoli

Tie - Viola Milano

Pocket square & Belt - Simonnot Godard

Trousers - PT01

All of the above RTW from SPIGA 3

The shoes are a pair of Carminas that were originally in tobacco suede. Unfortunately, I had some bad luck with the quality of the suede, so they looked terrible after a while. Luckily, a friend who does patinas and recolouring of shoes managed to darken them to this lovely chocolate brown colour.

The weather has cooled and is sunny this morning in NYC, and the Friday Challenge "#menswear", which, if I am interpreting the challenge correctly, means "the stylistic affectations of the moment". As much as I am too old to be "of the moment", I've done my best, within my means to comply - a single-breasted peak lapel suit, with ticket pocket; trousers with side tabs, no belt loops; a cutaway collar shirt; non-black shoes with a blue suit; a pocket square from Drake's; and colorful socks. That's as affected as I can be on a Friday before a major holiday.

Suit - Paul Stuart/Phineas Cole
Shirt - Tyrwhitt
Tie - Hermes
Braces - Paul Stuart
Cufflinks - Metropolitan Museum of Art
PS - Drake's, via the Armoury, NYC
Shoes - C & J

I am switching to selfie type photos until I can figure out a better positioning height for my phone.

If you do, I'll happily join you. I have a few really nice ones.
