@urbancomposition,

Is that a Jos A Bank tie sir? I could swear I've seen it somewhere. Beautiful suit if I may say!

It's a grenadine from Petronius. It's texture-tastic.

Very Nice urban. The point on your shoes caught my eye. Details please

Hi SF: first time poster, long time reader- I thought I might get some tips or recommendations to better my wardrobe. So please give me what you got, I won't take offense. Also I apologize for the poor lighting in the first pic, the second shows more accurate colors, but my backyard is covered in a lot of shade and my right shirt sleeve is long enough but it usually gets stopped up by bracelets that I have on(sentimental, not fashion).

But here is the details:
SC: David Chu
Shirt: Alfred dunhill
Tie: Borrelli
PS: anonymous
Trousers: Donnanna Napoli
Shoes: Allen Edmonds

Thanks all. Shoes are from Carmina, I believe on the Forest last.

After some time on the beach they are quite dusty and needs some attention. And probably not the best color for the rest of the outfit.

Go solid and more casual on the shirt next time, preferably OCBD in my opinion. A darker tie would make the top and bottom more congruent with one another, plain white PS is best here. Keep it simple.

Thanks caustic! I actually originally planned to forgo the PS entirely but figured since no one was really going to see me today it wouldn't be too painful to the eye. Also I've noticed I have very few solid ties at all. So that needs to change. I'm still working on getting better quality, simpler shirts and pocket squares.

I don't think you necessarily need to go solid with the tie in this case, but yes, solid ties are good to have.

Thanks. The tie I was wearing is very nearly olive. I'll see about the other two suggestions next time!

He really does. Super classy.

For some reason I thought of the movie Roger Rabbit.

Too much blue. But, it seemed to work.

Note to @uppercrust

I saw Régine Crespin only once, years ago, at Ravinia; she was one of the soloists in "La damnation de Faust" by Berlioz. The next night, she attended the all orchestral program. When she made her grand entrance to her seat, she was accompanied by an entourage of young men in their 20s--one held her purse, another dusted off the seat, etc... She was one of a kind.
