I have all mye trousers cut high, but this is a skyscraper. Need time to get friendly with this one.

It may sound odd, coming from a fella in his mid 20s, but you're singing my kinda song there! Higher the better when it comes to rises as far as I'm concerned...though the drawback is that I've become so accustomed to such a high rise that I almost canot wear jeans anymore.

I don't know between the break, the colors oxford comma and the wacky details I'd say they look a bit like clown pants ain't no two ways about it.

At the dog park today (AKA old stuff from my closet):

Walkin' the Dog

Cap:  Orvis

Shirt & Tie:  B2

Sweater Vest: J. Blair

Sport Coat:  Haggar

Trousers:  Farah

Woven Pennies: CH Green Label

Dog:  USA, rescue.

Notes:  There was a time, when I was but a youth (the glaciers had just pulled back) when there were many clothing companies that offered high quality (by today's standards) goods at good prices (by today's standards).  They made everything in the U.S.A., and made honest quality a big part of their production and advertising.

Witness the items above.  None are less that 20 years old, some are much older (except the dog) and all are still in excellent shape.  I think that Haggar coat is just about broken in now.

Yeah, get off my lawn, you kids, and yes, I do like braided leather shoes.  A lot.  Too much, probably.  :inlove:

The dog is adorable.  Love his/her hair cut.  I was going to comment about this being more of a fall/winter fit, but I see it's been in the 60s in SF.  Also, the pattern of the pants and jacket seen to clash in the close up, but look fine at a distance.  Love the shoes.

Thanks!

Both the jacket and pants are herringbone, but you're right - the colors don't seem right in the closeup.  It was my phone camera, though, and it seems to have problems with colors.

And yes, it's a normal summer here - cold and windy.  I deliberately didn't look at linen or madras for today, because I would have frozen my whatsis off.  Was glad to have the sweater as well.

SF is a great town for year round suits and coats of just about any weight that isn't pure summer stuff. There are some days you can wear it, but I leave my tweeds in the main closet year around.  They generally work fine at least five days out of seven.

My first outfit share on SF (be gentle!). Summery weather here in the UK requires a summery outfit. Sorry about the poor quality pics, I'm not very good at the whole 'selfie' thing.

Gianni Feraud jacket
Tommy Hilfiger shirt
PRL linen pocket square
Baumler tie
Osprey belt
Gap trousers
Loake chukkas

I ordered those but they were too big and I had to return them. They were sold out of the correct size.

They were very cool. Too bad.

I asked Gabriel if they would be restocked. His reply: "I cannot promise that we will stock this model again but since it has been so popular, it might be a part of our summer line-up next year as well."
