In fact, the picture make the jacket look shorter than it was really.

Love the red. Don't know how to translate "fil rouge" in english.

My recent crazy outfits. I love when I put a solid jacket over patterned trousers.

Horizontal stripes shirts !

Solid over patterns looks great!

Insanely hot out with heat index over 100. Broke out the paper-thin (and easily rumpled) summer stuff.

Suit: Eidos

Tie: Brioni

Shirt: Brooks (light pink although hard to see in pic)

PS: Brooks

I like that jacket and the shirt and ps work very well with it. Less convinced by the tie. Looks like a satin fabric and it comes off as a little too glossy in this context. The tie would work better with a solid suit in grey or navy.

Thanks, I really think that the longer length jackets are far better choice for me.

Yeah, I have hard time picking up a tie today. Went with this one eventually, but I'm not 100% convinced myself. Next time I'll try some grenadine or silk/cotton or silk/linen blend tie instead with this jacket.

Great to see you here!  I just got here myself.

Been following your blog for a while now.  I love your overall 30s-40s look.

As for the pleats - just had an interesting conversation with Joe at Wilkes-Bashford.  He seems to think they are terribly outmoded.  I disagree.

Keep it coming!
