What better reason could there be? Not having my clothes made the way I want them made because StyFo wouldn't like it, that would be lame.
Of course personal preference rules the day. Good luck with the suit commissioning!
A few of my suits have rolled shoulders but only just so. Anyway, when done right it can look like this:
and when a men's suit has drastically rolled shoulders it just reminds me of this:
Temperature is ticking up again. I sense an all-linen weekend coming up! Meanwhile, DC is slowing down for the August doldrums and meetings and such are tapering off. Able to break out some brighter stuff. (btw, RL has discontinued their BL line and merged it with Purple Label. Excellent deals to be found out there).

Just read through your Despos thread. Glad you got a chance to go to Grace (they got their 3rd Mich. star, if you didn't know), it's truly a spectacular dining experience. More spectacular, though, was your description of the process you had with Chris Despos. I plan on seeing him sometime in the next year as well. Many thanks for the inspiration.
I personally would only mix linen with cotton. A pure wool jacket with a pure linen jacket just seems odd to me. A wool/linen blend jacket with light wool trousers would be the only exception.
In my opinion I think you would benefit with slimmer trousers. You would appear slimmer overall.
Sleeves a bit uneven. I have the same issue and get my tailor to adjust accordingly.
The above photo (which BTW I'm pretty sure is not whnay) is illuminating in the context of this discussion, which was triggered by a fit of @jcmeyer's, and my previous comment in response.
The gentlemen here has a physique perhaps not entirely dissimilar from JC's. From this photo we can see immediately the effect a moderate roping would have for JC. By breaking the shoulder slope with an obvious point, the illusion is created of a broader and more masculine upper body.
I agree with others that JC's trousers could have been 1-2cm longer and the jacket 1-2cm shorter, but to me those adjustments are minor. Some shoulder roping, however, would have made a substantial and positive impact.
