Didn't have anywhere else to put this, but just got organized and wanted to share. I'm not actually wearing ALL of it today.

Suspenders were infuriating and unsightly whenever I took my jacket off at my desk.

It has been my experience with both mainline Paul Stuart, if not with Phineas Cole, that belt loops are provided with the suit, and the alterations department at Stuart's will add them if the client wishes to have them. For myself, I use braces with my suits from either line of clothes, and I am only occasionally annoyed by the leather junction of shoulder straps and elasticized back band digging into my back - otherwise, I am fine with wearing braces.

Braces are mildly uncomfortable and slightly goofy-looking to me. I also dislike the pull on my shoulders, however slight. I spend the better part of my day with my jacket off as I lose the office a/c war with the ladies. :paranoia: You wear them very well I have to admit.

I got my two Phineas Cole's on eBay and they didn't come with belt loops. I think they were MTM that was never picked up. I pounced on them as whoever ordered them was virtually my exact size.

PS just opened up a store here in DC but I haven't checked it out yet.

You must live under a very lucky star to get Phineas Cole MTM (though not for you) that fits you that well, at E-Bay prices. Good on you, as they do say.

I usually have my jacket off in the office, unless the office A/C is particularly efficient (I am usually quite warm - my gene configuration must have been set in a colder climate than NYC's).

I suggest a visit to Paul Stuart's - it is always eye-opening, though I am not sure that DC is an ideal place in which to experience Phineas Cole. My take on DC menswear is that it's geared to political rules of attire - nothing flashy or "fashion-forward" at all - quite the opposite, though perhaps lobbyists can dress better, (or more expensively, at least).

Just blind luck on the Phineas Cole sizing. I prefer NWT as a rule but pounced when those two came up.You're spot-on about DC, though. One of them is a dark blue nailhead winter suit. Slightly fashion-forward weave to the fabric but I can wear that one to work. The other is a one-button peak lapel with hacking and ticket pocket. Dark navy plaid that I wear to the theater and such. Definitely NSFW.

I will definitely check out PS's store!

@NefariousSabatour   - I'm jealous. That's a mighty fine looking closet you've got there!

As for me:

Haircut procured. Out to dinner tonight.

This is my best Ray Charles impression.

Happy Friday gents!

Awesome shirt and tie as always. Sorry but the jacket kind of makes my head hurt. Excellent fabric but hate jetted pockets and peak lapel with 3x2 roll. :box:
