I grew up in that era as well. I'm told that boys my age who had that poster doubled their time spent in the shower. Umm, so I'm told...:smarmy:

I was told that spending that much time in the shower would make you go blind. nod[1].gif

Good god, just say you're talking about masturbating.

And dry out your spinal cord :-)

In my grandpa's library I once found a copy of very authoritative and serious book called something in line with "family health guide...". It was dated somewhere start of 20th century, and was a must read in any decent household in my home country at that time. On the subject of masturbation, it lists bunch of health issues it causes (blindness, etc), says it is a bad habit inflicted upon good kids by maids and servants. LOL...

Well, this is Styleforum after all, not the Penthouse Forum. "There I was in my small Midwestern college..."

Obviously you've never ventured into the "culture" forums.

@Mr Engineer and @Mr Knightly:

Don't buy these things.

I made the miistake of buying these.  Beyond what @Caustic Man said, these things are VERY uncomfortable.  Take your trousers to the tailor and have proper buttons sewn on the inside or wait a few days until I donate them the the UCLA Thrift Shop (on Sawtelle a block north of Santa Monica Blvd.) and then go in there and buy them and discover for yourself all the many bad points of these things.

Too much sex and violence there. I get enough of that at home.

It felt like early autumn today, so I dressed like it.

Not feeling the shirt or PS here. The tie, jacket, and trousers all say Autumn, but the rest says something else.

I hear you on the shirt, which is too city for the shetland tweed.  What vibe puts you off from the square, i.e. is it a seasonal coherence thing or a color thing?
