There is that, not the biggest fan of the look, but it may be the best solution.

I am currently a belt wearer and been considering for a while to switch to suspenders. Belts do not hold on my pants well. They seem to slip down the waist throughout the day and I am constantly fixing my pants for a proper pants drape

I just don't want to go through the hassle of adding suspender buttons to all my trousers.

Thanks you, MTM from Scabal, done with a kapok/cotton fabric, from the kapok bunch.

I am in a similar position,  albeit slightly ahead of you in that I have just embarked on this tricky path.  I have sewn buttons on to some pairs so far and do like the support that braces provide.

There do seem to be other options available, which I am toying with too, and I should welcome the views of seasoned brace / suspender wearers on these:

The clip / button option:

Outstanding! I really like that jacket.

A belt worked fine when I was younger and wore jeans on my hips, but it isn't so good with higher rise trousers. Side adjusters are better, but not perfect and I have a high waist so trousers don't sit on my natural waist anyway. I'm carrying a little timber, maybe 6-8lb, more than I ought to weigh, but the problem was the same without middle age spread.

I have braces that I bought recently for use with a bespoke 3 piece suit cut for wearing with the waistcoat on all the time, so I may ease myself in gently with that this winter (very definitely a winter weight suit)

I continue with lightweight wear :

Need to try DLA's wares one of these days. Kalevala hank looks good as does the tie.

The worst of both worlds. Visible braces buttons and clips digging into your cloth.

Today. For all those who think of Canada as a very cold place, I can assure you no amount of linen, hemp, tropical wool gets you cool last few weeks. Linen jacket, linen/cotton shirt, wool/hemp pants...

I am not criticizing but just want to know the science behind rolling up one's pants. I like a 2 inch cuff but the roll, I am unsure. Is that a European aesthetic?
