Yes, yes, I know it's not madder season yet.  But sometimes a man has needs.

As for the L length in SuSu, they also SLIM all of their sizes when moving from R to L. I couldn't even button a 42L. The 44L was far too large in the shoulders, and the working buttonholes made it impossible to shorten the sleeves as far as they needed to go. Unfortunately, SuSu doesn't even marginally work for me.

I'll try to chime in a little bit.. I have many makers, suiting and SC wise..I think its been documented here how I might be a difficult fit (being 6"9 around 225lbs or so) and I find SS to be good.. not great but good.. atleast for my body type..would I say that SS is better quality wise than some of my higher end stuff or the few M2M stuff I have.. no.. but its not overrated in my mind.. in my rotation it serves it's purpose like all my clothing does..if it fits me well (which I think it does) and has decent fabric and construction (most of their fabric's are serviceable and its all half-canvassed on their lower lines) and affordable (which it is) then why hate if it looks good..I get just as many compliments with my suit supplies as much as I do with my Attolini's or Brioni's..thats just my experience though..

I'm not trying to bash suitsupply, but I am saying that I was unable to get a good fit for my body type, and that blekit should consider going the MTM route if he is experiencing similar problems. SuSu is absolutely a great value for a lot of people. If I was less thick and could fit into their long sizes, I would probably be one of those people.

For what it's worth, although their suits/jackets don't work for me, suitsupply's overcoats do. I feel they're very well made for the price, and I plan on buying more coats from them this season.

I love your style btw, chocsosa. I saw you on Articles of Style (I think it as still the Style Blogger back then) before I joined styleforum... So it feels a little weird to be discussing brands with you. In a good way.

I dont mean to infer that you are saying that SS is crap..Im just saying that people should not write them off because they have moved on to better (the M2M route or Bespoke) because in reality a well done M2M will trump most brands any day of the week..overall my point is SS is a good brand that is well priced.. KW might be better (and I say that because I have personally never tried him) but that should not take away from what SS provides... Thanks Cap! Yea that was a while ago and even though Dan might not be liked as much on here, I am forever appreciative for the article..he knows a lot and seems like a stand up guy..

For a change a picture in sunlight, and of the whole of my outfit.

Trousers look too long, they aren't, but I had just got out of the car and I hadn't noticed they had dropped a couple of inches until the photos were done. If anyone knows of a way to stop trousers doing this, let me know, every pair does it to some extent when I sit down then stand up and it's irritating.

Picture also taken by a not very tall girlfriend 😉

For those interested,

Jacket - Chester Barrie made in England
Tie - Drakes
Shirt - Lewin
Trousers - D&G
Shoes - Crockett & Jones

By which I'd assume you mean braces?

There is that, not the biggest fan of the look, but it may be the best solution.
