We walked a few blocks to get coffee and we made sure to stay on the shaded sides of the street !!  It's cool in the hotel suite though :)

Had no idea NMWA was in town. Formosa MTM event?

Yes, I'm here with the master tailor from Naples for bespoke or MTM appointments and fittings.  Stop by to say hi and cool down!

It's likely that the black was achieved with a very dark shade of blue, but the visual appearance is black (or such a midnight shade of navy as to be indistinguishable). I considered a white shirt but opted against it for two reasons: First, a white shirt would increase the overall level of formality, and I was trying to balance somewhat the formality of the suit with the casualness of the tie. Light blue seemed like a good bridge. Second, the white stripe in the tie on a white shirt created that optical effect of it looking a little like the shirt was showing through the tie.

EDIT. I like @Spandexter outfit. It is as - AAC stated - good take on more casual side of CM. I don't see any obvious fit issues (I'd say that shoulders and sleeves nearby are wrinkling because of the pose) and the length of the jacket seems to be actually more appropriate than in case of mine.

Span's jacket is similar to yours, but the lapels are fuller, and are cut better to the shape of his chest - notice that your lapels bow outwards, whereas his curve gracefully inwards.

Also, his jacket is about an inch longer than yours, making a big difference to the overall balance.

These are subtle differences, but they make a big impact. Lapel bowing is almost impossible to rectify, and if (like me) you have a bit of a barrel chest, it will be an ongoing problem with RTW. I find 90% of the jackets I try on in shops in (say) a size 50 fit me perfectly across the shoulders and back, but the lapels bow outwards like in your photo.

If I try a 52 in the same jacket, the shoulders are too wide and the garment hangs off me.

I've given up and decided to spend my money only on full bespoke moving forward.

First day of summer school.  Linen jacket, shirt and pants.  I'm teaching two small groups (less than 10 per class).  It's enrichment not remediation so I'm having a great time.

AAS, I like the first 75% of that tie.  But seriously, brother--you must have 100+ ties and you throw that thing on?  (If it has special emotional significance, disregard--I'm praying that it does).

Justin, that's a beautiful fit that, I am certain, will not get the love it deserves.  If I had a quibble it would be that hopsack and paisleys strike me as strange bedfellows.

Thanks man, I thought about going a stripe and then went with this for the color.

That other 25% though...:)  I have three ties like this from PRL.  I absolutely adore the "bandana" tipping at the bottom.  I know it's not everybody's cup of tea.  I wear it more often in the fall and winter when the bottom is covered by a cardigan or vest.

Great upper body photo, Justin.  Some people hate on flash photography, but I think whatever gives a clear, sharp picture is all good.  The pocket square's color/pattern is a bit obscured by the flash though.  On most cameras, you can adjust the intensity of the flash.
