HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014) - Page 2571

Would prefer a slightly more sibstantial BD collar, and probably a slightly thicker tie (tie could just be an angle thing), but, all in all, I dig it :slayer:

I like the look of that hat the way it is.

Well done! Very Trad and I also like it.

A birth year Sub? Wow. I wanted one ever since I was little kid and saw Sean Connery come out of the water, peel off his wet suit to reveal the white dinner jacket, and check his Submariner in Goldfinger. Seen on TV back in 1975 or so. Picked up a 16610 much later. Thinking of a Speedy Pro now.  :nodding:  Oops, wait, this isn't the watch forum...!

This is lovely.

May I inquire about the shirt?  I'm guessing Luxire?  If so, I'd be interested in learning which cloth and which collar.

Cheers,

Ac

Thanks! It is Luxire. It's the Indigo Canvas Oxford, and the cloth is kind of ridiculously heavy, almost sturdy enough to be used for lightweight trousers. I've had it for almost a year-and-a-half, and I would say that it only transitioned from "stiff" to "sturdy" about 4-5 months ago. That said, I love it, and I think it will last forever. Tradeoffs... Anyway, the collar is an evolution from dimensions I spec'd on my first Luxire order. You can reference #10021.

Thank you, and I can't really argue about the contrast. The shirt is more blue, and the jacket more brown, than they seem in the picture, though.

DT, your strike rate seems to be improving (in my eyes, at least).

I was just thinking the same thing. Perhaps time spent here is actually beginning to rub off a bit tongue.gif

@worthlessturtle, not a bad first post. As @ericgereghty said, the tie could be a bit wider, the BD collar looks acceptable to me.

@DiplomaticTies, very nice.

Lovely 1680.

I agree it's a lovely watch, but I'm surprised no one has pointed out that it's not a 1680 (including the owner). The 1680 is a Sub Date. This one looks to be a 5513....an awesome reference in its own right.

Today's rig. I'm really digging the texture on the tie, though I'm not sure it 100% works.

Any feedback welcome!
