Luger, couple things: r rope shoulders a 'thing' in France (I'm making assumptions, apologies) and r those Weston's on your feet?

Wednesday.  For the FC.  A very preppy Christmas in June.

Thanks awfully to all those who post pictures of themselves and who don't get discouraged by the occasional bizarre comments.

The Grand Canal in Venice and Robopose on yet another day of what's locally called "June Gloom".

Brooks Brothers blue blazer, pink OCBD shirt, patchwork Madras tie, and white cotton trousers, Polo Ralph Lauren pocket square, and Bass white bucks.

The popular piece of person (with baked goods) picture (and with a picture of a  Citroën 2CV in the background) showing that when one has been wearing ties for over sixty years, the width of one's ties varies with the ebb and flow of fashion over the years, but, like Prince Michael Of Kent, one should press on and keep wearing one's ties, even if some might think some of them to be a bit too wide.

To avoid any bizarre comments about the baked goods, here's the label on what I ate (probably an "Only In California" sort of thing).......

...if you want one just like it, go to The Atmosphere Cafe on Venice Blvd in Mar Vista.

Wait, it isn't this?

@EliodA  and @sebastian mcfox

If one looks up the Grand Canal in the picture behind me, the first canal on the left is Carroll Canal and the second canal on the left is Linnie Canal.

If one walks east along the path on the north side of Linnie Canal, one comes to Linnie Canal Duck Park.  If one accepts the theories advanced by some style bloggers that ducks are preppy, Linnie Canal Duck Park might be the preppiest place in Los Angeles.

*

There is a Duck Gate in the fence around Linnie Canal Duck Park.

*

I do not know how the ducks know that they are supposed to waddle up out of Linnie Canal, cross the path, and enter their park through the Duck Gate nor do I know why the ducks don't fly over the fence.

However, I do know what the ducks do in their park because there is a sign in Linnie Canal Duck Park explaining what the ducks do in their park.

I say purge the human patrons of the 'canal' in the Venetian Hotel above and replace them with ducks...

Seems that the ducks in Californian Venice have better luck than their Italian cousins: https://www.itinere.it/ITA/piatto/anatra-alla-veneziana.aspx

Please, tell us more about why ducks are preppy.
