What the ?  I've got 8 shots in a row of Acute wearing  a neat tie, chambray shirt, a DB SC and fun socks  -   none of which should ever be seen with any of the others in the same outfit.   facepalm.gif

I just finished teaching combinatorics. There are 4C4 + 4C3 + 4C2 = 11 ways for me to wear two or more of these four items together. You didn't state the reason you disliked them, but I'm guessing it's because of the clash of formal and casual. I imagine on a scale of formality it would go DB jacket, neat tie, fun socks and then chambray shirt. I get that there's a range here, but what's wrong with wearing a DB with a neat tie or fun socks with a chambray shirt? In all honesty, I'm quite fine wearing all four together. The colors and textures work for me and I consider that the most important thing.

I believe it's been noted before, but an uncanny resemblance to Vox in physique and bearing (though Vox would surely have a crisper trouser crease wink.gif )

Ordinarily a fan of your fits, I think the tie and jacket are incongruent here (haven't checked, but forgive me if challenge is "incongruent tie and jacket pairings"). Nice jacket.

Yes, not spoilering x 2 = doubly irritating, regardless of fit. Newbie forgiveness factor in play here, though would do well to figure it out. As to AAS's fit, I agree with your assessment regarding chambray shirt with other elements, though I kind of like how brass buttons and tie background play off one another (neither of which I would necessarily care for individually). You failed to mention the shoes here, which I think is generally acknowledged to be AAS's weak link, though I think that's been improving lately. Not a fan of loafers--horse bit or otherwise--so I may be biased.

The white shirt would be better replaced by a not too pale blue, it will make your face look less pale. And the tie would be better if for example a warmer, reddish brown instead of the stark burgundy. In addition to that, I think a strong pattern like this bold windowpane is too distracting for someone with a low contrast complexion like you.

Don't you mean disagree?

I like the top block, but I don't think the navy pants work well here.  All warm on top and they a huge block of cool with the pants.  I think a nice brown pant would have worked better.  I think the navy pants and green jacket would work better together with a different tie and cardigan.

Hi gents, stripes on stripes with different scales are supposed to work but for some reason the result looks off to me.

What is wrong?

@SYCSYC

The tie doesn't work. The red has too much contrast, and the blue too little.

Plain burgundy or rust might be better.

Besides that; nice as always.

I have never seen a tie look good with jeans.

Until today.

Lovely jacket too - is it OTR or MTM? Can't say I've heard of Calder Official - only the Calder Cannons.

I concur, more or less. I am of the mind that there is always a better pairing with a jacket and tie than jeans. That said, this is about as good as it gets, and it's pretty damn good.
