Cotton and wool, oxford and seersucker. Coat could use a few tweaks, but speaking of collar roll...

I mean, you can park an aircraft under those f**kin' things.

Thankfully the necktie boner seems to have run its course, so maybe this will too.

I stopped into Favourbrook in the Piccadilly Arcade this morning. A jacket caught my eye, but once inside so did a waistcoat almost exactly like this one (several shops in the arcade also carry similar items). I almost bought it and now I'm kicking myself I didn't.

This morning, on the train into London:

The suit is by Steed, the shirt by Proper Cloth, the tie is linen, purchased yesterday from the E. Marinella store on Maddox Street, and the square is Simonnot-Godard that I fortuitously had with me on this trip. I don't think it is too matchy with the tie and, of course, can be folded to show or hide as much of the lilac color as desired.

Tie is seriously excellent Andy. Perfectly summery.

Thanks, Eric. There were so many really lovely linen ties at the store. It was hard to select just one.

Something rather formal. I guess.

Pictures aren't great, but it looks like a decent fit.  The front/back balance isn't great (it looks longer in the back than the front in looking at your side photo).  More importantly, is there divoting in the shoulder?  Specifically, your right arm?  Might only be slight and in a stiff tweed that can loosen with wear.  Looks like a lot of extra material around the hips (see photos below), which is not particularly flattering, but may be unavoidable OTR given your build, probably fixable (i definitely dont have the same problem :uhoh: so i wouldn't know).  Shoulders and chest look good, sleeves may or may not need a touch more length, but that is pretty picky and up to individual preference.

Well-cut trousers, sir.

Monday.  The pictures did not come out that well.  I tried to adjust the contrast a bit.  Things aren't this dark IRL.  The sleeves are a bit long on this jacket, but it has working cuffs.  Debating whether to shorten or not.  :(
