HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014) - Page 2451

post #36751 of 43865

Xpost from casual.  1st night in the Florida Keys.  I would've taken pictures outsides, but it's pouring rain at the moment.

I'm wearing my red seersucker pocket square again.  I think it looks better here.  Thoughts.

Andy, I'm admittedly boring, but I'd prefer a plain white square and black captoes, black primarily because of how dark the tie resolves, at least in pics.

Joining the pro flannel trouser contingent today.

Brooks Brothers herringbone tweed jacket, OCBD shirt, tie, sweater vest, pocket square, and argyle socks, Polo Ralph Lauren grey flannel trousers, and Allen-Edmonds for Brooks Brothers black Strands......

...the ever-popular close-up, possibly even more popular than usual because it includes a sprinkle cookie.

The jacket is another of the jackets that I got at Brooks Brothers in the Seventies, when one could have working cuff buttons added (at no extra cost) and when I always had three buttons, rather than the default number of two buttons, put on the cuffs of my three button jackets.

I unbuttoned one of the buttons for this picture.  I would not leave the house with any of my cuff buttons unbuttoned, but there are some in the "Spazzatura" brigade who do for some bizarre reason.

I almost went with a plain white square, but this one was closer to hand. I don't think black shoes would work so well with the RAF Blue of the suit. I haven't tried it, honestly, but it never crossed my mind.

@Roycru  I'm such a fan of your attitude. Wish I one day can be so confident, laid back and stylish. I bow my head,

Andy, beautiful shade on that suit and looks like a wonderful hand to the fabric. Bravo! Spring came here in Michigan and then left...and then came back. I give up so I am just going to keep wearing heavier jackets as long as I can.

Haven't posted in here for quite a while, but I the FC idea sounded fun and thought I would give it a shot. (Please excuse the deer-in-headlights eyes)

@Caustic Man @Veremund

I know the trouser length isn't for everyone and I'm totally alright with that.

Though I will say, there's a lot of uber-trad older Southern dudes I see on the daily that aren't much (if any) longer.

:D
