The colours are great and I really like the fit of the jacket. I'm not a fan of ticket pockets for myself but it all works well here.

Having seen PBooth's hair in real life, were his head a patch of land, it would be a carefully preserved and protected piece of the Amazon rain forest, so lush the undergrowth.

Why on earth do you post here then? This is a great place for constructive criticism but don't post if you can't take it.

Er...yeah...maybe. Or not.

@Mynjorn, my take on your fit was that the suit fits you well, but the photography didn't do it justice. Your close-up shot (posted later) reveals the true beauty of the cloth.

Some of the posters here (myself included) go to considerable lengths to get nice photos. You don't have to, but I think you can do better with your Samsung than what I saw.

Also, to put PCK's comments in perspective: he's an old hand around here, from the days when people took no prisoners. He can be pretty caustic, but he knows his onions. Let it go mate. Keep posting fits. Work on your lighting. Cheers!

Interestingly, one of the few issues that was debated extensively in the past and was pretty much settled for good was the photography issue. Yes, it's not entirely fair that good photography be a factor in the popularity of a fit (and in this case I'm not referring to photography that is so bad that it's difficult to see what the person is wearing). However, it has simply been accepted that if your lighting is good, exposure is just right, and if you have a ton of background blur, that you will garner a few more "likes" based on that alone. Personally I think the gallery here is pretty forgiving about photography. On the other side of the house the goal is often to tell a story with your photography, which I was never quite comfortable with. Just show the clothes and leave the art to the artists I say.

Sure, but if the photography is so poor that the colour and fabric of the suit are completely misrepresented, then surely there's little or no point posting the fit.

Yes, that's true. I think that's the starting point for many of us wanting to improve our photography skills. But it does go overboard. I appreciate a pleasing photograph as much as anyone, but I try not to let it be the deciding factor in what I think of the fit.
