I'm afraid Zero Mostel is singing "Something appealing, something appalling, something for everyone, a comedy tonight!" Not my cup of tea but I'm actually kind of relieved to see the daring AAS again.

IIRC Walter is English. We English do not consider ourselves from "the" or any other continent!

He's German.. unless there's an English Düsseldorf too, with a Dennis Walter, menswear nerd and blogger with the handle @kleidamtweets

Rocked up the quarter lined CB sports jacket and a navy buttoned down. Love how comfy the jacket is too, and extremely robust!

I think it's very Prince Charles in the Former Colonies. Yes, he only wore single breasted suits in his youth, but still.

The end of a long and tiring week, and a day with rain predicted for NYC. The Friday Challenge is to integrate navy trousers into a outfit (there are those here for whom navy odd trousers are quite looked down upon as being ill-suited to being matched to sports jackets). So say them.

In any case, today's attire was less assembled than thrown together, but I hope in not too offensive a manner.

Sports jacket, trousers, shirt and shoes - BB
Tie - PRL
PS - no name brand

Monday.  Linen, seersucker, cotton and raw silk.  Another seersucker pocket square with a striped tie.  Still clashing?

@An Acute Style: Love it! Very classic, but i love the fact that you bring green with the tie and the socks (Are they green? I'm not sure with the pic; it looks like it, and it would be nice :D )

Not sure about the french cuff; a bit too formal to my taste in this outfit.

Impromptu elevator shot. Pardon my lack of selfie skillz.

It's pretty far from linen weather up here in the tundras.

Wasn't the first time, isn't now. After @PCK1's explanation of his critique I think clashing was the wrong term to use. You could make the argument that it was discordant or inconsistent, but not clashing.

I agree with @AlexRamius on the cuffs btw.

Thanks! Some of the fit issues were a product of trying to get the pic done without anyone seeing me. :)

Chipp 2 chocolate grenadine

Spier and MacKay check shirt
