Welcome. I really like the fit. Nice use of color and pattern. I think it would look better with no vest or a different vest. As is, the outfit is really screaming for the matching jacket.

The shirt is chambray, so I thought the fabric texture would overcome the formality of the collar (not to mention allow me to avoid the button down collars I've been encouraged to wear less often). The socks are probably a matter of personal choice. I may agree on that one. A brown jacket would make for a fantastic combo with this rig. I'll be on the lookout in the future for something that might work. Cheers.

Some of the best business people in the world are teenage girls. No contradiction. Good fit on the jacket btw, one of your best.

Thx!

The thing is... the matching jacket is double-breasted xD

I had more fabric than needed thus i also ordered a waistcoat. Since it has some texture, i like to use it this way now and then, but i can understand you don't.

re: facts

By a widely accepted (subjective) standard, that the jacket's length is too long is certainly a fact. As well as by OED's sort of surprisingly loose definition of fact (fact: a thing that is indisputably the case. She lacks professional experience, a fact that will be come clear when she appears in public) .

But "the jacket is too long" definitely not objective. So it seems like the word "fact" has been decoupled from objectivity (objective: not dependent on the mind for existence; actual) and attached to widespread consensus, which is odd.

I spoke a bit too soon, rather chilly in the morning today so pulled out the grey flannels and brown tweed for (one more?) go. The trousers are a tad lighter in person than the pictures indicate, they look charcoal here.

I really like the upper half of the fit. The colors progress very nicely. How about giving it a shot with blue trousers?

Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep all this in mind for the next time it comes up in the rotation. Cheers.

The jacket doesn't look like it fits you well.  There's some collar cap on the left and the sleeves are too long.  Also, the quarters are extremely closed.  Not a good look in my opinion.  I like the pants and the shoes.  I don't think the tie goes well with the pants though.
