If you were wearing a striped shirt which proportional to the size of your entire outfit is of a much larger scale then your PS it might work...though I wouldn't ever wear a red or pink bengal stripe shirt with that tie...the only striped shirt I would consider is a light blue stripe.

But this little hint of upward facing red stripes (that look pink) and your tie with the large diagonal stripes doesn't work. If you look at the picture the two combined are highly incongruent. They clash.

Thnx @ourmaninLisbon - each to his own.

On a side note - you seem to be a Lisbon local, aren´t you? Me and the missus are going to fly to your beautiful city come sunday and will stay there for a week. Any recos / tips what we need to see/do or where to shop?

Feedback is much appreciated ;-)

Hi Dennis!

Nice to know you´re coming to Lisbon!. And seems you´re getting good time over here, what is lucky, once this year weather has been weird.

The town is not big, so 1 week is enough to visit what you can´t miss. The only thing against pedestrians are the hills of the town, and you may gt tired.  But you always have the beautiful trams that will bring you all over town, and are the best to visit Lisbon. And cheap, (just be aware of some pickpockets downtown). Visiting Lisbon is easy, and in your hotel sure they will give you information about touristic spots. You must visit downtown, Belém and Alfama, the oldest part of Lisbon, with more than thousand years.

But as you have a week, you must visit some spots not far from town, specially Sintra: You can´t miss that. Vintage! Old but very well preserved, with palaces that look like jumping from a fairy tail, specially Pena Palace. Just look a the net and it will give an idea of how it is. . 25km from Lisbon and with very good transports. Cascais, a fishermen village very pretty, also very near Lisbon. Sintra deserves at least 2 days.

As for shoping, Lisbon is not really a shopping town, what you find here, you certainly will get there, and much more

Wish you both a good stay

Cheers

Vic

Very nice @Andy. Shoes are a standout

@Andy57, very nice style choices except for the shoes, IMO. They are too light for that fit. I'd go for a dark brown in this case.

I hear you. I think something like dark oak would be my choice 80% of the time. This morning I felt like referencing the olive green of the tie with the "sort-of" olive green of these Malverns, because I've got 'em and I can. They photographed much lighter than they appear most of the time in real life.

But, thanks for the feedback.

Thanks! But credit to Sam Hober. It's a beautiful tie that ties a great knot.
