A warm, if unsettled, day today in NYC, and I've decided to give my new blue suit an airing. There is probably too much color for some in my attire today - chacun a son gout - it's at least an Anglo-French alliance.

Suit - Ede & Ravenscroft
Shirt - Turnbull & Asser
Tie - Charvet
Cufflinks - Penhaligon's
PS - Alain Figaret
Braces - Paul Stuart
Shoes - C & J

And, for the April Fool's joke I play upon myself - throwback Friday - August 2006 - browner hair, facial hair, heftier. The sales staff at the Armoury in NYC were curious as to what I looked like with a Van Dyke - this photo's for you, guys.

Not a comment on this fit per se, just a thought in general: to me, in the last weeks, your outfits have become a little less flashy while still being distinctly you. I like it a lot.

I also got new glasses the other day from my favourite maker - Barton Perreira. Model Finn.
SC - Raffaele Caruso Sartoria Parma
Shirt - Kamakura
Tie - Drake's RAF blue cashmere
Cardigan - PRL navy blue cashmere
Trousers - Brown herringbone tweed by PRL. Very heavy and warm.
Shoes - Shell Marlows

Good fit and love the new glasses. But I think I loved the old ones a little more.

Thank you. The old ones are not put away. I will alternate between them. This model was new and I couldn't resist.

I'm afraid I have no idea. Will the white tag give you guidance?

Sorry, can't help I'm afraid. As far as i can see the label doesn't help either.

Thanks gents. I feel like an idiot, I know I just saw that fabric on an online swatch page, could swear it was Harrisons, now I can't find it and tortured myself for a while looking.

Take perverse pleasure in knowing that you inspired some fabric lust in me with those her fits!

I like the color. At first I didn't think it would go with the day but when the ensemble is worn it came together nicely and I think does well for the spring showers today. I'm still collecting my jaw from the floor after the April fools pic.

Too busy imo. At least the shirt should be plain.

Thanks for the comments, and yes, time does improve some things, including my appearance.

+1 on that opinion - as much as I like graph checks, it adds nothing good to the ensemble.

And mint green is not the best choice in my book. The suit is nice.
