Last chance to vote in the Friday Challenge! We have a tie that needs to be resolved (not that kind of tie)

Dissing Mr. Rogers and The Smiths? You people are savages.

@SYCSYC  Like this, but would have liked it more if you wore an other tie. This is too monocromatic.
Blue, brown or rust?

Sure, but that's what I do all the time. Monochromatic was the point here.

Thanks! To start with, I pretty much do what @Crat does here:

Once I have that initial shine, I maintain it by buffing it with an old nylon stocking once in awhile.

FWIW, There are guys in the shoe care thread who do a much higher shine than this.

End-of-day rumple from yesterday

Not enough contrast between shirt and tie today. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yesterday's rig earned me my first appearance on dressedwell.net's "Disagreeable Menswear Post of the Day" thread. I feel it is a right of passage of sorts. :) Anyway, here is today's belated submission. I hope it's fairs better than yesterday's rig. Cheers.

Don't even mention them - it just feeds into their self worth; the idea that what they say actually matters or people care what they say.

They're perfectly within their rights to express their opinions, as are you perfectly within you rights to ignore the crap out of them. Personally, I've not read either dressedwell or filmnoirbuff in years, and feel no loss at not having partaken.

I find them to be highly enjoyable reads...though I still don't quite get what qualifies as "well dressed" in their lexicon lol

Tough act to follow. Some really nice fits. Playing with patterns and texture.

I don't understand what their standards are. Some of the pics on their thread look decent to me yet they still rip off on them like schoolkids.

EDIT: and they seem to be putting up on their thread loads of pics from here. Almost seems like they have some vendetta against SF.

Why? Subway stations can have great acoustics.

I'm seriously thinking of lobbing over to Museum station once a week with my cello and a stool and playing a Bach suite. There's an ideal area for it there, a little corner jutting out from a high-traffic area.

Busking without a licence is illegal so I might put up a little sign saying:

I DON'T WANT YOUR MONEY

and another sign on the other side of me saying:

I WANT YOUR EARS
