Hello gents

A lot of new things today: new Ralph Lauren tie (thrifted), new PS that was offered to me as a departure gift from my previous job, new shoes from Meermin (worn in a proper outfit this time) and new hair and beard cut.

Same old SYCSYC style, though.

Tuesday.  More navy pants and gray jacket action.  Shoes are a bit matchy with the sweater, but light brown and dark brown leather both seemed off to me.  Maybe burgundy would have worked.

I'm not denying that...but it's futile if it doesn't look good...

I liked it, but I think a tie a touch less colorful would have look better. It kind of make your face look orange.

PSs have no formality. The one you chose clashes rather wildly with the tie. When the tie and PS both have so much contrast with the rest of the fit they look like tacked on accessories rather than coherent parts of a whole. This isn't to say that high contrast items can't look nice, or are wrong. Quite the contrary. But when that contrast exists solely in the tie and PS it creates an odd effect for me.

Thank you for the candid comment, but considering my complexion is pale in the extreme, a touch of orange would be welcome smile.gif.

@Dennis Walter, serious question... what do you use in your hair? :slayer:

I rarely wear them at work and usually only for "Funky Sport Coat Fridays" when a light calendar allows for a lessening in formality.
