Also, the sf think tank ideal of what your fit, and style should be. Majority of posters here are extremely biased on a lot of clothing choices. If you go against the grain here you seem to either be ignored or not well received.

I think part of the problem is, that there is no consensus as to what this thread is about. [...]

Well, it is the “Classic Menswear” forum, so that should narrow things down a bit, even given the necessarily fluid definition of that term.  :)

I thought Ground Hog Day was last week.:)

With respect, one should be careful what one asks for.   A couple of months ago a similar request for more discussion was made by one of our most respected members.   The result was pretty mixed, which should surprise no one.  People who posted dubious outfits also posted dubious advice and critiques.   Uninformed newcomers have no basis on which to separate the wheat from the chaff.  That's just how it is.

Opinions are easy, everyone has one.   What is wanted is informed and educated opinion.   But this is the internet, and this is an open forum, so levels of expertise will always range over the full spectrum of possibilities.

The sky is not falling.   This is actually business as usual.

Cheers,

Ac

It's almost not worth it to give advise anymore. Criticism is mistaken for vitriol and the old hands are mostly gone. The people that dispense advise today are people I would never take seriously.

Caustic, the simplicity of your combination highlights the absolutely impeccable fit of each item.

Thanks, brother.

Sunday morning: Tartan on stripes.

This is the new BB "original polo" OCBD. I am glad that they are making the attempt at bringing back the original collar, but at $140, I'm not convinced that the quality of the construction of this shirt merits this price.

Clarinet: Can you give more detailed thoughts on the new BB OCBD. I've heard a lot about its release but no first person impressions about it.

With the risk of sounding too non-critical for the current mood in this thread, this is my all time favourite outfit of yours.

Both @EFV and @heldentenor are two of my favorite posters, so your comments are very appreciated.

Not sure who you mean by the old hands, but the ones I put in that class have been gone for like 4+ years now.

I think SF has become pretty cookie cutter these days, and very heavy on the affiliate threads, but the bespoke thread can still be enjoyable.
