It is actually red and a very dark navy! I was thinking a green repp tie would be nice in the future. I also think it would look better with a brown toned jacket than grey.

Thanks! I never have any luck when I comes to shirts at all. Tyrwhitt seems to be the only brand I fit into well enough off the peg, but I've always found the collars too small...it's the compromise you have to make I suppose!

Try cutaway or semi-cutaway collars, they should hide underneath jacket lapels.

My outfit for today, any comments appreciated.

@Nelton take the shirt to your tailor. They can do wonders

@Blekit I like your fit. Everything pops except the socks for me. Socks take it over the top. With the other patterns plainer socks may be better

Garish.  Too many "look at me" pieces.  Get a plain white linen pocket square and plain navy socks to wear with that suit and it would be markedly easier on the eyes.

First shot ended up very grainy - was dark and trying to adjust the light setting. iPhones...

This is what I hope to be the final day of defensive footwear - the snow in the streets of New York is melting at an admirable pace.

The Crusty Crouch shot can be interpreted in several ways today - either a). the subject is half-asleep; b). the subject is trying not to look at the ugly things on his feet; or c). shutter speed is a bitch. I leave interpretation to you.

Blazer, waistcoat, shirt, trousers, overcoat - BB
PS - New & Lingwood
Boots - Keen
Scarf - Paul Stuart
Cap - Christy's, via Thomas Farthing, London

SYCSYC's recipe to DBize your new company:
1. Suit up
2. Outdress your colleagues
3. Outdress your boss
4. Start wearing PS
5. Put your DB suit on

That may take a few months, though.

Looking forward to documentation of your quest. biggrin.gif

Houndstooth suit today - one of my favourites. An underrated cloth in my view - both the jacket and trousers look great separately.

@upr_crust looking great considering the weather! The boots really don't stick out that much, particularly with the overcoat on.
