I adhere to Claghorn's Rule: always wear a tweed suit when sitting on the throne.

Appreciate the input!

Again, just my two cents, but there's not much about that orphan jacket that is appealing. As a suit, fine. But as a blazer? No.

Isn't it time to create WAYWRN part V? Number IV is now crashing all the time as far as I'm concerned

Since menswear now apparently is comparable to the medical sciences, I'm worried that wearing the wrong hankie might seriously damage my health. Think I'll stick to sweatpants and an old t-shirt featuring 80s metal bands.

Seems much more a daytime outfit than a nighttime one. Why did choose to refuse the dark suit if I might ask?

you did the other attendees a kindness covering most of that tie with a vest (or waistcoat, if you are either British, or just felling smarmy).

I have a similar feeling about break, it makes me feel like my pants are sagging and I'm dragging sacks.

I'll second what others have said, and say that you then need shorter shirt sleeves to go with it. To my eye, actually, the shirt sleeves there are on the long side anyway.

You mention non-skinny pants not fitting your aesthetic. Do you have an aesthetic statement you're trying to make, or do you just mean you don't like how they look?

I can see how there is a nuanced difference between the statement and the look, I simply find that the wider leg pants (that I've had tailored to my proportions, etc) have not flattered my figure and simply don't get worn as frequently.

In response to other comments, I'm realizing that the shirt cuff is too long, I noticed it when I was out the previous night. Perhaps to my advantage, this is a new shirt, so I'm expecting the cuffs to shrink slightly in the near future wash.

The trousers are navy and are slight shade off from the jacket, I think my lights were simply poorly positioned (pointing at the barrel of my chest only). In any case I appreciate the input, I hope to post more photography as I build my wardrobe.
