This doesn't work. Many many things are off. Just a few below...

1.) Trousers are too casual...they might as well be sweatpants. Shoes also look like LL Bean Moccasins/House Slippers.

2.) The sweater doesn't work with the other components. Rarely does a 'true' red mix well into an outfit. It looks terrible against the tan sport coat and heaven forbid what it would look like if your jacket was removed and the full sweater was revealed against the dark brown trousers. Same with the pocket square. And neither sweater, nor tie, nor ps, really work together or in the whole of your outfit.

3.) Way too much brown. Brown trousers. Brown sport coat. Brown scarf. Brown gloves. If it was a brown suit it would be ok...but this combination is a failure. You need some navy or grey or olive mixed in...maybe with some fall color accessories to compliment. Fire engine red is killing me.

After two weeks of well-deserved holidays, and a great saturday evening we spent with @jcmeyer and his lovely wife, it's finally time to enjoy going back to work. Hourray!

(not mastering the @Roycru face yet)

Which is why I'm wearing this Christmas spirit tie today. It's probably more vintage than Santa Claus himself.

Sure doesn't belong to your typical monday's outfit, right?

I took my mother to Florence for a visit and she admired a pair of his shoes (a two-tone jodphur boot) but wanted to ship them back to her residence in the U.S. However, he refused to remove the VAT from the price of his shoes which is obviously customary for goods that are being shipped internationally. His mother also works in his shop...and then she started arguing with him that they should remove the VAT.

He then exploded and started making a number of vulgar and offensive comments to my mother and I.

I should have called the Carabinieri...but I figured the fact that the half-dozen Chinese customers who were also in the shop walked out behind us was justice enough.

Check his pulse, Koala. If it's still thumping, wear more red.
