So...you wouldn't like it if I suggested burning that cardi? I mean, either way it keeps you warm...

No, I wouldn't like it.
If you don't like it be courteous enough to take the time to tell me why in a kind manner and preferably, suggest alternatives.

Also, just to add a note to the discussion, how about just class being a reason not to talk to each other this way.

Let's not be mean girls to each other. We're all pretty. And we're better than making each other feel bad.

Has anyone ever exposed their deep feelings and insecurities only to be ridiculed and belittled?

Before hitting reply, think about offering at least one encouraging bit of advice with a constructive criticism.

I like the compliment sandwich approach.

I realize shirt collar could use some adjusting.  I've only worn this suit a couple times.  I'm not certain that I like it.  You can't see dark brown cap-toe Meermins, pretty plain jane.

Jimmy Stewart was a great actor but I've learned more from smart people than kind people.

Profound? Maybe, when we are speaking out loud, maybe...
Written "thunder" can still grow flowers if we read it, comprehend it, and think on it (I actually think this is also true of spoken thunder but it is harder to avoid angry dismissive reactions in this case).
I wish I had PCK1 with me when I bought some of the ugly crap in my closet.

Also, my clothes are not ME. There is a lot more to me than what I wear.

C'mon. You know that I was giving you the business. I have been very supportive of your style journey, with a fair amount of specific advice along the way. As for that specific cardigan, the strong division of color isn't pleasing, and the pattern is meh.

In other news, I don't think y'all gon be able to tell PCK1 nothin' now:

If you guys want to spend your time yelling at each other and generally being dicks to one another, be my guest, but please keep it away from me. Also, no one said you WERE your clothes. I said it was obvious that someone might take offense to a sharply worded fit critique because our egos are often tied up in the choices we make.

The tie and pocket square are too similar. You might get away with them together if they were set against a darker background. But there is a strong contrast against the light gray and white shirt that causes them to stand out too much. They "pop" too much...but its not a pop with a positive connotation.

I also am not a fan of the purple with light gray. I like purple, but I prefer it with grays that are a bit past the mid-gray range up to and including charcoal. Also, purple is brilliant with other fall colors.

edit: i think its really just the darkness of that particular shade of purple. a lighter purple might pull it off.
