This is my attempt to 'be like Roycru' for the challenge this week:

My 'story' for the FC is that of the emergence of a British youth fashion in the late 1960s that would have a profound effect of the way I have viewed clothing ever since.

That fashion became known as 'suedehead' in England and was a development on the earlier 'hard Mod' or skinhead look and one that was based on an exquisite simplicity.  The clothes were a happy mix of 'English country gent', European and above all, American Ivy League.  In fact the longwing brogue became one of the icons of the Look.

It was important always to look sharp and my train connection relates to the fact that we never sat down on a train when going out for the evening so as to arrive at our destination looking as immaculate as possible!  In 1970 T Rex stormed onto the scene and everything changed but it was great while it lasted and stays with me still...

My first pic dates from 1967 on an early summer day and I am on the left!  The others are from Thursday on a very damp December morning.

Is the X really that bad? I think it looks good in many occasions.

For example :

Taka From Liverano & Liverano, a lot of his suits have that slight x, and he does it on purpose

This my entry for the "dress like Roycru @EFV" FC...

... not mastering this yet, though.

I'm a fan of "X". The more the better.

I take it you're of average build. Going beyond a 8 inch drop you run into problems.

No, you misunderstood his sarcastic banter with regards to the 'X' talk.

Unless that's what you were also implying with the 8inch...
