This is actually gold.

Cox would have loved a medium brown shoe instead of the black. Also dont like the small brogueing detail, still thumbed though

^  I think either brown or black can work with light gray.  Given the tie I prefer the black, myself.  Had the tie been brown I'd probably feel differently.

I actually chose the shirt first, then the suit, then the shoes, then the tie, finally the square. (Oh yeah - then I remembered that this suit needs braces, so I popped them on.)

Naturally I tend to agree with @Academic2 - I think black shoes work well with this type of light grey fabric. So does brown, but I wanted to wear these shoes.

Found this vintage coupon of Holland & Sherry tweed and couldn't help getting a jacket that's fit for country walks :D

I know, I am missing a dog in the pics :D A bottle of nice peaty, sherried malt whisky from the 70's could do as well :D

The atmosphere is Scottish enough to match the cloth :D but the pictures were taken in beautiful Poland <3 :D

Killer, @Tom Miler!

I am not a big fan of monk shoes, especially not double monks, but Edward Green makes two beautiful single monks: Mercer and Hove. These are Hove in dark oak.

Caruso 140s
Zegna Couture
Gieves & Hawkes
Finamore (in a pattern based on Nordic folk art)

Colors are nice, but I think the shirt and tie don't work together, pattern-wise. Love the suit though.

Very nice. Simple, but far from basic.

First shot at dressing like Roycru with an AAS twist.  Monochromatic browns, fair isle sweater, BB OCBD, argyle socks, AE shoes.

Very nice, AAS, but we miss the deadpan facial expression.

What could possibly be more deadpan than no facial expression at all?
