these r special: The 'seamless wholecut'  - cordwainers'  ne plus ultra.  An asymmetrical disc of hide with a hole for the foot.  

If I had these I wouldn't ever wear them.

These are by Dimitri Gomez. I immediately recognize his work. Stunning. 

 

I think Dimitri is one of the few real master craftsmen in the shoemaking world. Him and Anthony Delos, in my opinion, rival for the top position. 

 

It's a shame Delos bespoke can no longer be had...and Dimitri never leaves Paris making bespoke complicated and terribly expensive for us Americans.

They are legendary, Delos particularly.  But there are literally dozens of Japanese bespoke masters (and mistresses) now.
