fight[1].gif I know... it's just that I strongly dislike wholecuts in general. Usually, they just lack shape and this, to me, is no exception. But you did get the part where I said I really, really like the rest, too, right? fistbump.gif

Very true. @Cleav: all the best wishes from me to you and his family.

Sander, I just gave you the first thumb of what will certainly amount to more than forty.

What fabric, and which tailor?

Great fit. I think jacket could've been 1/2 inches longer. Or maybe you are wearing the trousers a bit low .

Grazie mille; it's a H&S tweed, tailor is Sartoria Dalcuore. In fact this was shot just outside their door, from where I stood I could see the gulf of Naples about 50m away.

Yeah, sure, there always are exceptions to the rule, and this might be one of them, but still. The last has to be extremely beautiful and well-made to not look like a blob (in my eyes, at least). So far, I have never seen a wholecut I would have preferred over an adelaide, half-brogue, plain oxford...

I love wholecuts, but agree that the last is everthing in terms of aesthetic success. When they are well done, the result is an exceptionally beautiful shoe - as shown above.

My rig for today.

Chelseas likewise need a pretty decent last to look their best. I'd but these G&G Burnhams second only to my Anthony Cleverleys in that regard.
