Always liked that SC, Clags. Where's it from again?

Thanks! As always, detailed info is on my tumblr (link in sig) so as to not clutter up the thread with brands. But since you asked, it's Epaulet (made by Southwick)

That's a patch. These are the RRL officer chinos I've had since 2011. They're more of a SW&D item and have been worn to the point where fabric wore through there, at which point I had it reinforced.

Not sure if this outfit should be seen as classic or casual menswear. What do you think gents?

@NewYorkIslander

You have one of my favorite casual styles, my man. Always love your IG feed.

That blue jacket is beautiful. Formosa?

Hoping friends and family are ok after that tragedy. I can only imagine how on edge the country is.

OK, in response to the challenge: a tweed jacket!

Jacket: Lanvin

Shirt: Isaia

Tie: Rubinacci

I don’t thrift a lot of clothes and on the few occasions that I do I usually do it “live” so I can check the quality and wear and tear of a garment. But I found this vintage Lanvin tweed jacket on ebay and decided to take a chance. I’m happy that I did because it is a lovely jacket in mint condition. In general I avoid contrast details on clothes, especially jackets and shirts, because it usually looks gaudy and cheap like someone is trying to cover up poor quality or a bad fit with something “funny”. But I found these details pretty unique and I think they work well. The leather buttons are a shade brighter than you would normally find, especially on a grey jacket, and the suede elbow patches are matched by the suede lining of the button holes.

Also check out our new, revamped website. Still under construction but up and running: Diplomatic Ties

Since you're relatively new, I'll point out the fact that you need to re-post your photos as above to the thread for this week's Friday Challenge. Double-click on the notification of the Friday Challenge, and it should take you to the thread.

My, it's been a while for me! I put on some of my old favorites today, so I thought I'd pop back in and see what's up. Nice to see all you gents still looking as good as ever.
