But I'm glad you didn't. The clean lines and simplicity work beautifully here.

@Mr Knightley really nice thoroughly British outfit. My daughter loves your tie! Forgive my ignorance in British history, but why the 1915 - 2015 on the poppy? WWI started in '14, didn't it?
Thanks for the compliment! I need to look up the history of the British Legion before I can give a definative answer I'm embarrassed to say!

I kind of like that rule.

Vive la France !

@DiplomaticTies  Love it.  The shiny satin tie and fancy stripes work great imo.  So is that Minnis Project QX?  What do u think of it?

Braddock, your stuff usually rocks, but not this.  patterned tie/square with solids looks contrived imo

2nd Battle of the Masurian Lakes, surely.  Acc to Google.

Seriously, my guess is the Gallipoli Anniversary  aka Allied invasion of Turkey

Can we see this oatmeal square? Does it play as creamy, or more of a brown?

This was with light gray flannels and dark brown chukkas...

... and this was with cream moleskins and brown single monks:

Wedding selfie. The ceremony is still going but my little man was too restless so we popped out for a breather

I've mentioned a number of times how much I appreciate the photographic element to our hobby.

So in terms of the photographic element of our hobby and the photographic appeal of certain types of pictures, I have a question: what is the appeal of backgrounds with graffiti? When people go through the trouble of taking pictures outside of their houses, that seems to be the one of the most common choices of background (unless you're German, in which case your choice of background is awesome European cities). It's not something that I greatly mind, mind you, but it also doesn't grab me as a particularly good photographic background (unless it is very, very out of focus and deep in the background).

My only guess is that it has something to do with the juxtaposition of urban decay with nice clothing? (In which case, why haven't I seen anyone in a double breasted pinstripe suit on a tractor. @kulata, there are always trees in your background. I assume there is a tractor nearby. Make this happen. Says the guy living in Texas.)

TLDR: WHY ALL Y'ALL STANDING IN FRONT OF GRAFFITI?
