@Roycru

Always enjoy readying your posts.

@Academic2

Creepiest photo of the day.

@Mr. Six and @sebastian mcfox

Damn, you both look damn freaking damn good.

@Dennis Walter

Great looking suit. The next purchase that I am planning is a houndstooth suit. I just haven't found a good place yet.

Thanks. I usually tone down the color a bit in the fall/winter. I did wear an orange tie yesterday though. Posting that later today.

Maybe just a black or navy turtle neck and some suede brogues could work with your suit.

It's worth noting that there's nothing about HRH's fits in the photos in question that's in bad taste.  The unbuttoned coat simply seems to some (mostly non-Brits I strongly suspect ) to be surprisingly casual.   I don't doubt that it's intentional.  I think it's studied.  Look at the contexts.

Relatedly, I confess that I may be alone on SF in liking, for him, his famously small tie knots.

Cheers,

Ac

Much about this fit is good. Indeed 99% of observers would approve without reservation.

The other 1% is us StyleForum curmudgeons, and some of us may well have reservations.

Here are mine:

- pocket square is out too far.

Having made those observations,  it's a nice fit overall, and worthy of better photography. Looking forward to your next one.

Yesterday.  The orange tie may be too bright here.

Honestly, the color of the tie doesn’t bother me.  I’d like the whole thing more if there was greater contrast between the sweater and the jacket, however.  Still ‘thumbed’, of course.

My eye/brain tends to process sweaters in this context the same way it does odd vests, which it doesn’t want looking like the top half of a three-piece suit with the wrong trousers.  I think that psychology carries over into this context for me.

Your eye/brain may well be different.

Cheers,

Ac
