FWIW, I like your new (@sugarbutch ?) style of pics: we already know from previous posts that your stuff always fits perfectly, but these in-car shots better reveal the details.

But I think they're probably more similar than different in terms of fit.

If you need any encouragement, I would enjoy and learn a lot from such a self analysis of fit.

If I have some time on a weekend with good light I'll see what I can do.

@jcmeyer Two thoughts on your fit, which was pretty good: Part of the problem to my eye is polo suede generally. It looks nice in photos of the shoes alone but I almost always find it too warm with clothes. I'm also not sold on a pink shirt with that shade of light brown. Otherwise I think the hopsack, flannel, and shantung combo makes for a nice mix of textures.

Edit to add more helpfully re polo suede that I think darker brown and greyish brown trousers (or green as heldentenor notes) helps to cool down the warm red. But it's just a tough hue to incorporate.

@jcmeyer I think the trousers look a little baggy around the thigh compared to the perfectly pinched waist of the coat. Otherwise I too have a similar shade of suede shoe and rarely wear them for similar reasons.

@Koala-T awesome

Today, perhaps too monochrome :

Hope you do so, Mr. Six--that would be a reference worth having.  Your wardrobe is well-edited and seems to have all the right pieces.

As far as polo suede, it's great with textured greens and browns.  I don't think it plays quite as well with navy, and it's too warm for most gray trousers--meaning that most won't find it as versatile as chocolate suede.  That said, with the right pairing it is absolutely killer.

I don't mind the monochrome (and I love the shoes!), but that's a lot of stripes of relatively similar scale.  Call up Claghorn and ask if you can borrow his burgundy/navy block stripe tie from Henry Carter--that would be awesome with this fit.

Congrats … not only have you two missed my point entirely, but also, despite the ubiquity of the internet and Google, you have also failed to understand the meaning of "misogyny". But as you say, to each his own and I agree so carry on.

Last Time (Click to show)

So although the overall color balance now seems ok to me, I feel like I went astray by doing cool colors up top and warm on the bottom; plus the top is hopsack and shantung (S/S) and the bottom is flannel and suede (F/W). I offer it up here for education purposes as I think I missed the mark again, but what says the jury? Too many clashes? I'm guessing I'll need some light grey pants to go with this jacket.

Colors are good, fit is good, only thing I wouldn't wear is shantung with flannel.

No, I haven't. After an image search I see where you're coming from though. But this isn't the first Batman reference I got, the other was Scarecrow in the Nolan movies. I can assure you though, that IRL, I'm much creepier than those two.

Thanks! but I've had to rethink it.  Dragging that Baluchi around underfoot is really inconvenient.
