I think a solid blue shirt would have been better.

Friday, and not a moment too soon. Off to Toronto tomorrow with my husband for an extended weekend, and, after two nights in a row of socializing after work, I've opted for something simple for today.

Sports jacket - Chester Barrie via Austin Reed, London
Shirt, trousers, and shoes - BB
Tie - Corneliani
PS - Robert Talbott

Good day, Koala-T!

Can I give You advice?

Recently there was a discussion about the Constitution of the human body, and the fit of the clothes.

You have the feature that there are many (such as me). Namely, wide hips in relation to shoulder width.

In your case, this effect is mainly from the wide bones of pelvis.

And you claimed that You have a small weight for your height and that you have no excess weight. The trouble with the width of the bone.

It's true, but only partly.

I was struck by the following photos:

On them it is clearly visible that around the waist you obviously have a surplus of adipose tissue. And these surpluses pronounced bulge under the shirt and even under a jacket.

This means that the hips and other body parts also have extra fat.

"How can that be, because I weigh so little!?" - you may ask.

I'll explain:
There is a term that usually applies to many girls.

The term: "fat skinny girl".

That is, the body consists of bones and fat and have little muscle mass. Thus a man may sometimes even have normal proportions, but his appearance is not too good.

2 people same height and weight can look completely different.

The first person with high fat content and low muscle mass will have a clear excess of fat in the form of folds and have "loose".

The second person with a normal content of body fat and normal muscle mass will tighten, and slim.

Although, again, they both will have the same height and weight.

Now a small medical fact: a normal amount of fat mass for men age 20-60 years is 10-12%.

Here's my example, in the photo below, I became very depressed, gained about a few pounds of excess fat, and my percentage of body fat to be approximately at the level of 18-20%:

Compare my physical form at the photos (many overweight) and its shape.

Are you sure you have no excess fat?

I doubt it.

If you exercise and follow a diet, just for the year you become a different person (if you're hard on yourself).

Naturally, the width of the pelvic bones you can't fix it.

But you will considerably reduce the total amount of this problem areas by getting rid of excess fat. And in addition: by increasing muscle mass of the shoulder girdle you really get rid of the imbalance of top and bottom.

This is a real working Board.
The rest is up to you.

Or you want to change and improve the look you are wearing clothes, or not want to change anything.

Decide.

I wish you good luck and ready to answer your questions. I hope that I can help you.
But 99% of success depends on you.

Sincerely, Maxim(aka Victor).

i dunno......i really wish you'd give suitsupply a shot, since you're getting suits in the mail already buddy! I am sorely tempted to buy their blue suit with touch of shoulder structure, in honor of new Bond-wear.

@sacafotus thanks for the tip. I am not doing grains or Dairy but I like the fasting strategy. Just had a hydrostatic test and my body fat is 14%. Up from 9% a year and a half ago.

@victors... you look ripped for 18%. I think you are lower. Great job guys. Enjoying this thread

I mean, yes, solid blue, for sure, but I actually really like the DB + repp tie + checked blue shirt. But plain white square would be better with it. So keep the shirt, but with white linen or off-white silk (my vote), or keep the square and go solid blue.

And maybe, when steal this look without a second's hesitation, I'll do a gingham shirt.

The drawing in the background really completes that photo.

@Koala-T

Do not do this. The sleeve volume needs to be in harmony with the body volume.  Slimming the sleeves will negatively impact the body slimming effect of the jacket.

Why there is a shot of a man barely clothed is...puzzling. A quickie before another client visit. They something to with guns. I hope they give me a free handgun.

Had I Victor's physique, I'd show it off as well, and, insofar as your client visit - better that they give a free handjob than a free handgun - less likely that you'll damage yourself or others.

He did mention a quickie. Perhaps this explains Victor's lack of clothes?

I know you are built better than Viktor. I have an app that can take clothes off. I do not know why I have that app. Handgun over handjob and a nice suit over anything in life.
