Thanks again for lots of thumbs lately! Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Sc is nice; the dark, flat pants aren't the best match, I think, a mid-grey flannel would be perfect. But still a very nice ensemble.

I know you're typically a brooks brothers guy, but DAMN you cannot beat ralph lauren purple label! that is fantastic.

Suit - RLPL

Anden, another really great look. Much as I love Attolini ties, the recent ones had to be sent off to tiecrafters for shortening.....I can't bring myself to do the extra long tail, but you pull it off well.

Forgot my raincoat when I went to the barber and when I came out it was raining. Had to take a selfie anyway.

Loro Piana SC - pure cashmere. Probably my favourite item in my closet.

Gutteridge shirt that was bought in Milan earlier this year. I like the collar but I'm not sure how it will hold up over time.

Silk tie by E.Tautz

PS in wool by Farrell

Oscar Jacobson flanells

Tassels by C&J

Edit. Tie and collar sprezz is unintentional.

Unintentional sprezz = sloppiness.

Yesterday's suit was the fallout from having brunch one Sunday afternoon with Mr. Claymore of these fora, then visiting the mansion at 72nd and Madison in the middle of a clearance sale. Mr. Claymore did most of the work for the salesman, finding the suit on the rack in my size, and even advising the tailor to move one of the waistcoat buttons - a most useful ally to have while shopping, I must say, though RLPL as an impulse purchase is something one shouldn't do too often, if one wants to have any net worth left.

Thanks for the compliment, in any case.

A great guy indeed. Looking forward to seeing him again in January.

Anden, the sweater vest is nice. Have you tried a color that combines / complements the other elements? The light grey stands out a bit.

The long tail is a problem unless worn with a vest. In other cases I tuck it. Thank you for the kind comments.

Thank you UC. I just got the trousers a couple of weeks ago so not yet. I have worn the jacket with a wine vest instead. I intend to invest in more sleeveless cardigans to have more to choose from. Like AAS.

Too humid and I was late. For shits and giggles:

What I wear on weekends. As someone pointed out, I'm either off or on when it comes to clothing. Very little middle ground. I'll very occasionally wear chinos and sweaters, but I'm still south of thirty and in grad school.

@Claghorn

You should post in the S&D thread. But I agree with the above poster.
