@Claghorn:

1. What is out of the ordinary there?

2. I think Id have gone oak brown shoes there.

3. The fabric on the SC is quite lovely

That's obviously an orphaned suit jacket!  Just kidding, but I like it even if it is.  Also, I think @Claghorn is not a fan of shirts with stripes that are not equally spaced (e.g. like the one he's wearing), no?

@Koala-T looking good! Though I agree with the comments above regarding the shirt collar.
A lot has been said already about the width of your hips, but it strikes me that you choose the least advantageous camera position possible, i.e. at hip level. Try putting it at chest level next time.
That being said, combos like this one, where there's not a lot of contrast between top and bottom do favour you.

@Koala-T probably your best yet. way better than some of what you were posting when you first started. A spread collar would be better, or if you're a die-hard button-down guy, I would say to try to find one that is a bit taller, wider, and maybe with a bit more tie space so your knot isn't swallowed up by the collar. But this is still a huge improvement.

I think this is probably the first time I've ever worn a blue tie with a navy (or dark mid-blue) jacket. And I rarely wear black shoes if I'm not wearing a suit.

If an outfit is dominated by very cool colors, I prefer black shoes to brown. Had the tie been most shades of green (a bit warmer than blue), I'd've gone brown for the shoes

November experiment: AAS dresses SF approved.  Let's see if I can keep this up for an entire month.  What I wore yesterday.  The uniform with some fall colors.

Claghorn approved =/= SF approved. Single button peak lapel. Failure.

I guess.  I'm not wearing bit loafers or fun socks and I have on solid white shirt and a neat tie.  I gotta start somewhere.  Also, Crusty just won the Friday challenge in a single breasted peak lapel. Is it only appropriate for a suit?

You're asking the guy who wore his single breasted peak lapel odd jacket today.

Thanks, everybody. I really appreciate the feedback and encouragement! I had no idea how much I had to learn 6 months ago when I first began posting here.

SFF:
Kent Wang (pants)

Somehow, this doesn't work for me. Three different shades of navy... light blue shirt and brown tie would have been much more boring and, I think, better.
