And to the rest of you re: the trousers! Thanks!! I think the reason these work so well is because they're cotton so the drape isreally good as compared to say, a lighter wool in the same cut. That said, I've never tried a lighter wool jn this cut, so I might just have to give it a swing.

Conventional wisdom loses to experience every time. I have a dropped shoulder and like either a really strong shoulder or a really soft one, and most of what lies in between doesn't work well for me.

Hard to judge if that cut of trouser is perfect for you, but the length seems to be.

Thanks once again to everyone who takes the time and trouble to post pictures of themselves and also, thanks once again to everyone who likes my pictures.

@EliodA, two days ago you asked how I managed to eat and still weight the same as I did fifty years ago. The answer is that I only eat one meal every day.  Fifty years ago, when I worked for the Santa Fe Railway at 6th and Main in downtown Los Angeles, every day at 11:00am I'd walk across the street and have a Turkey Dip Sandwich at Cole's PE Buffet.  I was downtown today, so at 11:00am I went to Cole's PE Buffet and had a Turkey Dip Sandwich.

For those who are wondering why I went downtown, I went to the Comikaze Expo (the local version of Comic Con) which takes place in an alternate universe where peahens spread their tail feathers to attract a mate, rather than the other way round, in this universe, where peacocks spread their tail feathers to attract a mate.

I am wearing a Brooks Brothers Brookstweed jacket and blue PPBD shirt, a Windsor tie, a Squarextraordinaire pocket square, Orvis moleskin trousers, and Allen-Edmonds brogue suede strands.

But just to keep going (and breaking that activity-limit in settings), something from yesterday:

I "need" a scarf just like yours! Love it, the color is a beautiful tone of gray.

I have never seen anyone wearing a PS on a coat before... or maybe I just didn't notice it. It would be the only "but" to your outfit from me. Either way, I thumbed you, it is a nice fit.

@The_Foxx details on the tux jacket? Those are some ass kicking lapels.

@fieldofdreams I like how the tie's dots pop on the stripes, good work.

I have a scarf in exactly that shade of grey by Loro Piana, made from the finest baby cashmere. As you can imagine, I have no use for it in the climate where I currently live. PM me if you're interested.

@The_Foxx great pics. Tuxedo is midnight blue?
