I'm thinking of trying out Kent Wang at the beginning of next year, just to get a staple navy suit in my closet, and see where things go from there.

This jacket has more closed quarters than most of my other jackets. I could let out the hips a touch more perhaps, but I do like this jacket. What do you think of the length?

I think the length is spot on.  The narrowness in the hips of the jacket is what I think makes you look slim.  I could be wrong.

What was wrong with this tailor?

I've had MTM brands that are less than impressive (to put it mildly lol) on the first go round, and saw substantial improvements in followup attempts.

For one, his aesthetic and my aesthetic didn't end up blending well. 2, I think he was drunk most of the time, and really mis-measured me the first time around, to the point where the jacket had to be completely remade, and still ended up being too short. 3, it took them six months when they said it would take two (4.5 months to get the first iteration out, and another month and a half to remake the jacket, and they never once thought to drop me a line and let me know how things were going. I had to initiate all the communication. They would have happily just left me hanging the whole time I think.

Arguably more about showing off a new pair of shoes and wearing bright colors than about dressing in the grand tradition of masculine elegance. Oh well.

Don't personally love that shirt SVB, and the tie is not hitting the collar right, but otherwise nice. There also seems to be a slight divot by your left shoulder.

That tie looks great with a mid-gray suit. Give it a shot next time.

I think i agree with stitchy about the shirt, but other wise I dig this a lot. The shirt is too in between for my tastes. I either want solid light blue, ot something that more flies in the face of convention.

The charming Miss Kent Wang is cropped out. Had a wonderful dinner (and @Kent Wang has some better pictures with installation art in the background instead of meat). But proof I have feet connected to my body.

Hi All,

I am a menswear enthusiast from Finland and have been keepin' an eye on the forum but haven't actually posted anything. I think it's about time...

I like that tie.

Murl, the fit of your jacket and trousers is always inspiring.

Thanx, @Koala-T

Old YSL tie

Cufflinks from Skultuna

Blue and orange is a lovely combo, however i would have preferred a plain orange tie instead of the stripes...

That´s a solid first entry, @Pasteur - welcome to the show and looking forward to moar postings from you!

Today - neither getting the colors right nor do the pics represent the otherwise neat fit of the suit. The creases around the midsection are honestly invisible when i stand up straight...
