@deacon-hh: Der Abstich klafft sehr unschön, sehr weit auseinander.

I really enjoy wearing a tie, so I put one on most days of the week, even though I don't have to, which also means I wear a jacket, but occasionally, I'll throw on a cotton jacket and a beat up oxford, or a sweater and call it finished. I try to wear chinos or more casual pants on the weekends, but usually still a tie.

@Mr. Six, in case my picture essay was not clear, what I was saying was, that your fit was on point, as per usual.

Murl, was that a Gestalt polo you were wearing the other day?

Based on photo, the blue of your shirt is too purple. It looks much more urban/city than it would with a greener cast.

Neat pattern of pocket square is also at odds with outfit. Belongs with a suit.

Shirt collar is blegh. Too straight to look at home with a tweed jacket. Too soft and rumpled to look good otherwise. All around bad.

Jacket looks a little tight. Too much tension around your mid-section. Uncomfortable to look at, if not uncomfortable to wear. Doing bad things to your lapel roll also.

Jacket sleeves are swallowing your shirt cuffs or your shirt sleeves are too short.

Hate flap pockets on tweed odd jackets, but that is one of the lesser offenses here.

We'll have to agree to disagree on the subjective points. Not sure why you feel so strongly about the tension in the jacket based on a picture with my hand in my pocket.

I do agree about the flaps, though. If it makes you feel any better, they are flapped patch pockets.

Which points were subjective?

Especially on a jacket that (from my vantage point) doesn't look tight at all. Nothing even resembling too tight in my opinion.

The other stuff, while admittedly subjective, is what I would classify a reach...especially regarding the shirt collar lol.

I like SB's fit when taken in whole, but with the exception of the jacket sleeves swallowing the shirt and the jacket's too tight comments I think each other point Foo made has merit. Maybe not to the declarative degree it was stated, but in a "this wasn't ideal and there are better options to consider" way, I'm on board.

Agree about color as it appears in the first picture.

Agree about the collars. But I wear tall spread with tweed *shrug*

Doesn't look like the lapel had roll to begin with.

I like the sliver of shirt sleeve.

I'll never like flap pockets, but flap patch are at home on tweed.

In any case, welcome back. I, and I'm sure others, appreciate your perspective.
