Thanks again to everyone who takes the time and trouble to post pictures of themselves and to those who like my pictures.

I was a little cooler and damper down by the seaside this afternoon than it was closer to downtown, so, unlike Stanley VanBuren, I wasn't quite as uncomfortable as he must have been when he took his picture wearing his Fair Isle sweater.  I went to an art show in Santa Monica curated by a former coworker (who also displayed some of his art at the show).

Art often looks better if one fortifies oneself before seeing the art.  I stopped at the Bulldog Bar, the Saloon Bar at Ye Olde King's Head in Santa Monica (which was decorated for Halloween), to fortify myself  before seeing the art.  For those who keep up with such things, the Strongbow Cider sold in the USA is no longer the same as the Strongbow Cider sold in the UK.  For some reason, the USA version is now sweeter than the UK version.......

Brooks Brothers tweed jacket and tie, which has something that looks like the 9th-12th (Prince Of Wales) Royal Lancers insignia on it, but in the wrong colors, L. L. Bean OCBD shirt, and in the picture below, the Jim Thompson pocket square, Orvis moleskin trousers, and Allen-Edmonds khaki grain McTavishes also show.......

Your comrade @Braddock has a similar suit, no? Same fabric?

Haha, yeah; we found the cloth at a cloth merchant and loved it immediately; very hard to find this lighter shade of navy with stripes of this size. I'm afraid I can't tell you much about its provenanve other than it was made in England and it's a bit like fresco, but not nearly as rough.

@StanleyVanBuren very nice outfit, probably my favorite of yours! Looks very comfortable!

@Crat top notch black tie attire! Incredible shoe shine! Patent leather or you devoted some time to a whole mirror shine?

@Sander

Love those lapels. Maker?

@DonCologne

Ditto: deets on jacket, please. Or fabric if you know which swatch book.

Cheers!
