If you're applying for a similar position to your previous one - which I believe was a front-of-house role in the hospitality industry - then I'm sure that personal grooming and presentation is an important part of what they're looking for. In which case, you nailed it, Don.

Monday.  I wasn't sure what color tie to wear with this.  I think this grey was too light.  Any recs?

More. (Click to show)

New pants from Charles Tyrwhitt. I'll probably get them slimmed from the knee down. What do you think? (Click to show)

I think a different tie would elevate the fit, but I love everything else.

@An Acute Style  Is that the 'Classic fit'?

To me, 'The slim fit' has slimmer legs and are for the most better. Besides that, it's nice trousers.

And a darker tie would probably be better.

Love some of the fall fits trickling in.

Truly sorry for the terrible light. This evening's rig :

The suit is an odd duck. It's a charcoal wool that's lightweight like a fresco. I love it though because it has texture like a flannel. Brown gren and dark green stripe shirt. Dark brown bals to finish it off.

Thanks, AAS and Foxx. AAS, you'll be happy to know that it was one of my earliest thrift finds. IIRC, I didn't need to alter it at all.

I didn´t hink the stripes were too close, as the scale was pretty different. A plain white shirt might still have been better...@bienluienapris, i´ll give you that ;-)

Lovely kit, especially the waistcoat. You rock that Polo look effortlessly, @An Acute Style

Look up in the sky, it´s a bird, it´s a plain, it´s the Funk Doctor spot smoking Buddha on a train.
