Koala-T, your combinations have improved substantially of late.  The snuff suede of your shoes seems a bit warm in tone compared to the rest of the fit (though I like what I can see of them as such).  That fit's a good candidate for mahogany or burgundy shoes, or black shoes if you're not averse to wearing them with odd-jacket fits.

Today.  I know the rule about mixing patterns with different sizes.  I intentionally choose similarly sized patterns today.

So now you've found out why that rule exists... ;)

To my untrained eye, this looks like your best effort yet, @Koala-T

My brain tell me I shouldn't like this. But I do!

AAS, the real letdown of that last fit is the uncomfortable relationship of the browns in the pants and shoes. In the orange cardigan fit, the cotton jacket with the sweater is cognitively jarring, but I still likeded it.

Isn't this like one of those things I can just take a pill for to make it better? No? Shit then.

Thumbed despite my dislike for suits with closed spaced stripes and/or self-stripes. Also, big +1 for posting shoes that don't look brand new.

Thanks! The fabric is a herringbone with gold and blue stripes alternating between the, uh, bones. Not my ideal, but I've come around to it. Bought this suit mainly for the fit. As for the shoes, I've had to accept that I'm not the sort of person who will choose to polish shoes over doing something else. Mine seem to get more than a quick brush only about once every six months or so.

Thanks! I can see your point on the shoes. I wouldn't have though of black shoes, but I like the idea.
