Noooooooooooo! The facial hair is missed.

I'm with Six. Digging the crusty facial hair.

Let's hope the facial hair itself was not crusty.

That's a nice look, SVB.

Personally, I would have gone for a tie with a bit more contrast - perhaps a burgundy grenadine with the navy suit, rather than a navy grenadine with the navy suit - but it's a nice, conservative look.

Also (and I know that it's been said many times before), I think that the cut of those trousers is more flattering than the cut of your somewhat flared/bootcut trousers.

Thank you. I imagine they are more in the typical Jermyn Street style. Rather expensive though.

I think there's not enough contrast between jacket and pants; dark chocolate or eggplant would have been nice, I think. Also, I like the camouflage coat with it and am now wondering what's wrong with me. shog[1].gif

Navy suit with navy tie is seen as a staple, yet how tie and suit never really, but almost match always bothers me. And here they are as close as two different mateials and structures can get; still. The only way you could... waidaminude. I have a navy flannel suit in the works right now, I'm sure there will be some cloth left over, probably enough for a tie... hmm...

I can see that the Scruffy Crusty/Clean-shaven Crusty controversy still smolders. Let me put this matter to rest - between wishing to not look my advanced age, and the amount of care it took to maintain that particular piece of facial topiary, the Van Dyke isn't coming back - unless I take it into my head to star in the remake of the attached video, which is rather certainly NSFW.

But on to more serious pursuits.

Bringing suits back into rotation, after the warmer seasons.

Suit - New & Lingwood
Shirt & tie - BB
Braces - Lewin
Shoes - Paul Stuart house brand
Hat - Selentino, via JJ Hat Center
