HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014) - Page 1803

@justinkapur

Justin, can you say more about the fabric of the tie? I've been eyeing that pattern (Patrizio seems to have several colors in that fabric). Texture, feel, weight, etc. Was this bespoke, and how was it constructed?

Hello :) I chose to wear cheaper pants today because it had just been raining heavily and I'm going to receive couple of splashes while driving outside (Motorbike). Jacket is S120, fully canvassed, made by Brijuni Fashion.

I can already tell you a few things are going to make a few things that are going to make the SF-mob cringe.

- Contrast buttonhole/lapel

- shirt color

- matchy matchy pocket square

If you like the look, by all means keep on keeping on, but I don't think you'll find the most receptive audience here...

^The slim peak lapel and dark gray odd jacket isn't the best choice either. Not to mention the black pants.

Also there's too much whipped cream in the coffee beverage.

But if he's a high level coke dealer, it's pretty much a perfect, coherent outfit.

Self tipped. Not sure of exact construction to be honest. It's got a beefy weight and hand to it though. One of my favorites. Although it's a bit long so I have to loop the tail to keep it from excess tail sprezz. I purchased it from Steve at gentlemens footwear. Highly recommend his pieces. Super versatile. I've bought like 5 pieces from him

@Claghorn You consistently have my favorite fits. Would you sign a Claghorn poster if I ever had one made to hang in my room?

Really not sold on this one – tie seems a bit too refined for the texture of the coat, and its pattern is rather dense for that shirt. What cloth is the jacket? It's beautiful.

@Claghorn deets on tie in look 1 and jacket in look 2, please!

{/spoiler]

Pic 2. Lovely jacket but shirt and tie combo not really nice, patterns are too close. Would have preferred bolder patterns on the tie

Something that was discussed in the lounge. I like combinations where the pattern on a tie match the empty space on a shirt. It wasn't a popular proposition (and isn't something I like all the time). Color might be too close though, between the shirt and the tie, for it to really work like I like it.

Jacket is a SuSu Hudson. Tie in the first is Henry Carter, linen silk.
