GMMcL, you should try to remember the height and distance of the person holding the camera for your pic with the missus and Ferrari. You finally look like you're as tall as you are, and the bothersome proportions I notice in your regular WAYWRN shots are absent.

Speaking of your missus, that was a very thoughtful present.

Gotta know your Ferrari's if you're gonna hang with this crowd...

Thanks man-- I don't wear those shoes nearly enough, whiskey color Bontoni laceups!

WIWT. Full length selfie turned out terribly, so only closeups this time. Wearing a new hand rolled silk square I found in a thrift store yesterday. What say you?

Nice summer day in NYC.  Had a great burger.  Went thrifting (scored a briefcase).  Had some great ice cream.  Win, win, win.

Das good, but much as I love tan longwings (yes, even with a casual suit), this isn't the right rig for them. Worsted + white spread collar + finely printed tie = sleeker shoes in a darker brown. Sure, you can play the sprezzatura card and go for a more casual shoe than is strictly appropriate, but these are stretching that a little too far.

Edit: Also, Freedbird, that suit looks fantastic for CT -- much nicer than what I've seen in their shop. Admittedly, it's always so crowded in there that I haven't gotten a good look at everything.

That jacket renders a pocket square superfluous .

AAS is in his wheelhouse with these summer fits. I choose to ignore what was spoilered in yesterday's shorts fit...

Thanks for the critique! The suit isn't really very formal. 100s brown plaid, not particularly soft or anything (nothing fancy, just a Paul Stuart workhorse). But I absolutely agree, with the tie and the shirt! I honestly hadn't even thought about it. Thanks for pointing that out. I don't usually pull the sprezz card, and I won't do so here.

Also, I agree about the CT suit. That lapel was FANTASTIC.

L2B and AAS killin' it.

I don't remember who it was, but someone had remarked when I first commented and said that fits were boring that I should wait till the seasons turn. They were right. I love this.

Word. Couldn't tell if it was brown or gray. Brown makes it better, but I'm not convinced that super numbers and storm welts go together.
