The elevators at work require a key for a couple of the floors I need to access daily. Patch pockets keep this process from being a complete nuisance.

I also like to use my inner chest pockets to store my card holder, money clip, and occasionally my phone. I avoid having any bulk in my pants back pockets. Partially because I like showing off what I've squatted and deadlifted so hard for...

Edit: is that the Taurus square?

Glad to see you joined the white shirt movement :fistbump:

oh yep, no it's Le Neptune François -  has awsm autumnal colors, and as I said earlier, the KW 17" squares are pretty impressive.. the stitching is more 'artisanal' than Rubinacci and the silk appears to just as good, if not the same.

Nobody. That's why we all have man-bags.

Agreed. I found myself pleasantly surprised by the Neptune.

Thanks man! Actually it is just an SC and SuitSupply says it's purple.

What makes the 17 inch better than the 13 inch besides the extra fabric? I just ordered a 13 inch one. I didn't get 17 inch because anything bigger than a 15 inch for me is like stuffing a towel in my pocket.

Thanks a ton for the thumbs, everyone. I really appreciate it.

People who aren't precious about their clothes and actually use them rather than just pose in them... so, quite a lot of people, I hope. :)

As with @Claghorn, this is one of the reasons I like patch pockets. I don't always want to lug a bag around with me when all I need that day is my wallet and keys.

, this is one of the reasons I like patch pockets. I don't always want to lug a bag around with me when all I need that day is my wallet and keys.

I carry those in my trousers.

I did a blog post recently about every day carry. I think there's a happy medium between being too precious as you say, and carrying more gear than a Nepalese Sherpa for little or no good reason. For me this happy medium is carrying an edited set of essentials such that they don't bulge out of all your pockets. I never use the side pockets of my jackets and don't even bother to open the basting!

p.s. Love that tan suit / light blue shirt combo Coxie!

Your fits are excellent. My only concern is your shirts sleeves are either too short or the cuffs aren't wide enough.

Been a while, so I thought I would post this jacket of which there was some discussion in the GNAT in comparison with a similar Formosa jacket

Tie is green shantung 3x stripe from Exquisite Trimmings. You can see the texture in the close-up, though it is blurry.

The jacket is awesome. I would've gone with a more contrasting PS as it's almost invisible in the top picture.

Thank you, I wear a watch which I prefer to be exposed and this jacket the sleeves are slightly longer.

Thanks, it's invisible in the top picture because it's basically not visible (i.e. it slipped down into the pocket).

The close-up gives the intended look. Square was chosen to be a more subtle contrast with the jacket, color wise, though a stronger (though still subtle) textural contrast ("wet" silk against rough hopsack).

I think a copper square would have been nice too, so darker along the lines you are suggesting.
