No, it's the recent version - nowhere near as red. If it was, I certainly wouldn't ever wear this tie with it. I have completely the opposite view to you on this: this version has a depth and variegation to it without being so identifiably red. As a result I think it can cope with saturated colour accessories, whereas the redder version might seem to be in competition with them.

I love the rise of the pants! I've been considering purchasing a pair of Luxire trousers to get a slimmer fit/higher rise pant I can't find anywhere else. How do you feel about their quality? I'm skeptical of MTM in the low to mid hundreds. (Although, obviously, perhaps you use their more expensive fabrics)

i c what youre saying but Ive tried wearing the trews from the first lot as odds and they wash out the other items imo

I have a tendency to only use the more expensive fabrics now with Luxire as i've been very disappointed by their entry-level cotton chinos.

The value for money is difficult to beat...
