I think it's gorgeous. If there're two things I love, it's burgundy and shantung. inlove.gif

Really like this fit. Deets on the shirt and tie, please?

@upr_crust very nice shoes! The waistcoat looks great, I love waistcoat. I have quite a few double breasted waistcoats that I use with my morning coat at weddings... I thought about introducing them as odd vest with my navy suit for other weddings I attend to... but I am not sure yet.

The suit turned out well, FM. The tie is a bit vibrant for my taste, but whatever.

I would not disagree, but it is well into the 80's F here in NYC, with promise of going higher - a waistcoat would be a steambath today, especially one made for UK climate conditions (i.e. fairly hefty fabric).

Why won't you suffer for his entertainment, Señor Crust? You brute!

It's going to be humid and in the 90s. I suggest linen suits, Sir Crusty!

The thing is, linen might not be appropriate for everyone’s work environment.

In the present case, moreover, I have it on very good authority that upr_crust’s private limousine has state-of-the-art air conditioning and the sedan chair in which he's carried from the car to his office is similarly equipped … :)

Cheers,

Ac

From your mouth to God's ear, as they do say, but I fear that my "private limousine" uses a MetroCard, and I had to let the sedan chair bearers go years ago - they unionized, and I could no longer afford them. Fear not, though - they all did well, graduating to becoming doormen at Abercrombie & Fitch. All that schlepping gave them great upper body tone.
